Is This Right for My Dog?

This wrap is ideal for dogs who need focused, targeted support for a specific leg or joint, rather than full-body coverage. It's best suited for:

  • Dogs with stiffness or soreness affecting one particular leg
  • Dogs already on a daily red light routine who need extra, targeted support on tougher days
  • Dogs recovering from activity, exercise, or a longer walk than usual
  • Owners who want a cordless, portable option that fits directly onto the leg

This wrap works well alongside the rest of our red light therapy range, including options for broader, full-body coverage or support for other specific joints such as knees or shoulders. Many owners find a combination gives their dog the most complete support.

Targeted Leg Coverage

The wrap measures 19cm in length and 34cm in width, and is adjustable to fit a leg circumference of 14cm to 28cm. To check the fit, measure around the widest part of the leg you intend to target, ideally where the wrap will sit once fastened.

If you're unsure whether it will fit your dog, please get in touch before ordering and we'll be happy to help.

  • A specific leg or joint directly
  • The full circumference of that leg at once
  • Areas that are harder to cover with a larger, flat pad
  • Dogs who need concentrated support rather than broad coverage

For dogs who need extra, focused care in one area, this wrap fastens securely and stays in place, so your dog can rest, move about, or settle in as normal while it works.

How Red Light Therapy Works

Red light therapy (also known as photobiomodulation) uses specific wavelengths of light to support the body's natural processes at a cellular level, without any heat, discomfort or medication.

This wrap uses two wavelengths, and you can choose how they're delivered each session:

  • Red light (660nm), which works at surface level to support circulation and tissue recovery
  • Near-infrared light (850nm), which penetrates deeper into joints and muscles

You can select combo mode for both wavelengths together, or switch to red-only or near-infrared-only depending on what your dog needs that day. This flexibility is part of why we chose this wrap as a targeted companion to Mila's daily routine.

Many owners choose this wrap for dogs who need:

  • Extra, targeted support for a stiff or sore leg
  • Comfort during flare-ups or after a longer walk
  • Focused care for older dogs alongside their daily routine
  • On-the-spot support exactly where it's needed most

Specifications & Certification

We believe you should know exactly what you're getting, so here's the detail behind the wrap:

  • Irradiance: 55–66mW/cm² across the pad, measured directly on the sample we tested
  • Wavelengths: 660nm (red light) and 850nm (near-infrared), with the option to use both together or separately
  • 40 LED beads across a 34cm x 19cm wrap, concentrated for focused, targeted coverage
  • 5W of power, 2000mAh battery for cordless use
  • CE, RoHS and FCC certified, so you can trust what's going onto your dog

This is the wrap Mila uses on her back leg when she needs a bit of extra, targeted support alongside her daily routine on the large pad.

Built-In Comfort & Control

Everything is designed to make therapy simple and consistent at home. The wrap's single-button control gives you full control over every session, even once your dog has settled.

One button, three light settings, so you can choose what works best for your dog:

  • Combo mode, delivering red and near-infrared light together
  • Red light only (660nm), for surface-level support
  • Near-infrared only (850nm), for deeper penetration

Simply press the button to cycle through each setting, then press again to turn off, or the wrap will switch off automatically after 15 minutes. This is the setting we use with Mila on her back leg, giving her a straightforward, no-fuss session without needing to hold or adjust anything once it's fitted.

The wrap is cordless and rechargeable via USB-C, so it's ready to use wherever your dog is most comfortable.

The Science Behind Red Light Therapy

Red light therapy can feel like a bit of a mystery from the outside, so we wanted to show you exactly what's happening underneath the fur.

This diagram shows how red and near-infrared light behave once they reach your dog's skin. Red light (660nm) stays closer to the surface, while near-infrared light (850nm) travels further, reaching down into the muscle layer beneath.

It's a completely natural process, simply light interacting with the body. Nothing is injected, ingested, or absorbed chemically, which is why it's such a gentle addition to your dog's routine.

Why Mila Uses It?

Mila is an active 8-year-old who loves water, chasing balls and running after squirrels. So when she started slowing down after walks, struggled to get up and started to limp, we knew something wasn't right.

After vet visits and X-rays, she was diagnosed with arthritis in her back legs. We didn't want to rely only on medication, so we looked for something we could use at home to support her comfortably. That's when we introduced red light therapy into her routine, starting with our large pad for her daily sessions.

  • Helps her settle more comfortably after walks
  • Gives her back legs some extra, focused attention
  • Fits securely, so she can move around while it works

On days when she's particularly stiff, this wrap has become part of her routine alongside the large pad. Rather than covering her whole back, it lets us focus directly on the leg that needs it most.

She's still the same energetic Mila. This just helps her stay comfortable doing what she loves.

Bought this for Coco, who has arthritis in her back legs. Being battery powered is brilliant, no cables getting in the way or restricting where she can settle. It’s really well made and feels sturdy.

It took her a few weeks to properly get used to wearing it, she could walk around fine, but now she’s completely happy to relax with it on in the evenings. It’s become a nice, easy part of her routine and I’ve noticed a genuine difference since we started. Will share a picture

Thank you for sharing this. It's really good to hear that the battery-powered design has made such a practical difference for Coco, that freedom to settle wherever she's most comfortable is exactly what we had in mind.
The settling-in period she had is completely normal, and it sounds like you've been really patient with her. A few weeks to get used to something new around a leg is about right, and the fact she's now happy to relax with it on in the evenings is a great sign.
It's lovely to hear you've noticed a genuine difference since starting. We'd be glad to see a photo of Coco when you're ready to share one.
Kind regards,

Useful alternative

We're in Alberta, Canada and bought this for Frankie's hind leg. It's a great concept and works best when he's settled in his bed or on the sofa.
Personally I think the pad is slightly easier because it doesn't need repositioning, but the wrap allows you to target one specific area which is exactly why we bought it.
Happy overall and customer service was excellent.

Thank you for sharing this, really glad the wrap has been useful for Frankie. You make a fair point about the pad versus the wrap, they do serve slightly different purposes, and for targeting one specific area the wrap is exactly the right choice. Great to hear customer service hit the mark too.

Wishing Frankie well from Newport.

Excellent quality

Really impressed with how premium this feels. The battery pack makes a huge difference and means our dog isn't restricted by cables.
We've been using it on Cooper's front leg in the evenings and he seems very relaxed while wearing it. It's become part of our normal routine now.

Thank you for this. Really glad the battery-powered design has made such a practical difference for Cooper, the freedom to settle anywhere without cables was exactly the thinking behind it. Lovely to hear it's become part of your evening routine.

Great idea for targeted support

We bought the leg wrap for Murphy, our Labrador, after he started showing stiffness in one front leg. I really like that it's battery powered so there aren't any wires trailing around while he's resting.
It's easy to position exactly where we need it and the quality feels excellent. We also have one of the larger pads which is probably easier overall, but this is a great option when you want to focus on one specific area.

Thank you Caroline for this, and really glad the wrap is doing the job for Murphy's front leg. The comparison with the large pad is a useful one too, they really do serve different purposes and having both gives you a lot of flexibility depending on what he needs on any given day.

Works best when she's settled

The wrap itself is very well made and easy to use. Our spaniel Poppy is quite active and if she's walking around it can move out of position a little, but when she's resting it works really well.
The cordless battery is brilliant and much easier than dealing with cables. We use it alongside our large pad depending on what we need.

Thank you Dean. Poppy sounds like she keeps you on your toes. You're right that it works best when they're settled, and for an active spaniel finding that calm window in the evening makes all the difference. Really glad the cordless design is making it easier, and it's great to hear you're getting good use out of both.

Handy addition to the pad

We're based in Auckland, New Zealand and already owned the large pad for Scout. We bought the leg wrap to target a specific area on her back leg.
What I like most is how portable it is. Being battery powered means we can use it anywhere in the house. It won't replace the pad for us, but it's a really useful addition and gives us more flexibility.

Really glad the wrap is giving you that extra flexibility for Scout. Targeting a specific area alongside the large pad is exactly the kind of combination that makes sense, and the battery-powered design really does open up where and how you can use it. Great to hear it's earning its place alongside the pad.

Better for larger dogs

The quality is excellent and the battery life has been very good. My only minor criticism is that on our smaller terrier Bonnie it can slip slightly if she's moving around.
When she's lying down or relaxing it's absolutely fine and very easy to use. Overall we're pleased with it and would buy it again.

Thank you Peter, and for the honest feedback about Bonnie. You're right that the wrap works best when they're settled, and for smaller dogs it can need a little more repositioning if they're on the move. Really glad it's working well during those relaxed evening sessions though.
