Who we are
Hi, we’re Elliott and Hannah, based in Newport, South Wales, and proud parents to Mila, our energetic 8-year-old French Bulldog.
If you know Frenchies, you’ll know they don’t do things by halves. Mila loves chasing balls, exploring the hills, and being at the centre of everything we do.
Like many dog owners, we found it surprisingly difficult to find products that genuinely worked. From cooling solutions in warmer months, to comfortable harnesses for daily walks, or toys that could actually withstand muddy adventures: too many products simply didn’t live up to expectations.
Mila’s health
As Mila has got older, she’s also started to experience stiffness in her back legs from arthritis. We didn’t want that to slow her down or take away the things she loves, which led us to explore more supportive solutions like red light therapy to help keep her comfortable, active, and enjoying life.
It started with small changes. She was slowing down after walks, struggling to get up after a rest, and she’d begun to limp. After vet visits and X-rays, she was diagnosed with arthritis in her back legs. Mila also has a grade 4 luxating patella, which means her kneecap can slip out of place, so her back legs need a little extra care.
Why red light therapy
We didn’t want to rely only on medication, so alongside her vet’s advice we looked for something gentle we could use at home. Red light therapy uses red light at 660nm and near-infrared light at 850nm. Nothing is injected or taken. It’s simply light, and all Mila has to do is lie down and relax.
Today, red light therapy is part of her evening routine. It’s become one of the calmest parts of her day, and it helps her settle more comfortably after the walks she loves.

Where ChillyPup began
Red light therapy was the first thing we brought into Mila’s routine, and it’s still part of her evening, every evening. She lies down on the large pad, settles, and simply relaxes.
Seeing how calmly it fitted into her day is what made us want to share it. Every red light product we offer is one we’ve researched and tested ourselves, so you can find the right fit for your dog.
